Hi Curtis, I appreciate the manager´s brains and resourcefulness, but I have serious doubts about that kind of labor, even if it is all in the name of organic agriculture. 10 hours a day, for one crew weeding like that? I would not wish that upon anyone. What kind of systems design alternatives do you see for this?
Robots mostly. What you’re pointing out is correct but is the unfortunate reality for most farms around the world. Part of the reason why the amount of farmers has been steadily declining for a thousand years.
