Lots of great info here! I’m wondering how both you and Erich, being on city water, deal with the chlorine and/or chloramine load in the water? Looks like that filter on his main line is there simply for particle filtering and isn’t removing chlorine like a carbon filter might accomplish. Is chlorinated water a concern on the farm or is it something that can be ignored?
I was excited to see that he is now using the wobblers overhead of the shade cloth to create that evaporative cooling effect on the summer lettuce. We decided to try that this past summer instead of micro-sprinklers underneath the shade cloth and we thought it worked pretty well. We mainly didn’t want to move micro-sprinklers in and out throughout the summer season because we were on a time constraint to get out of the field by 1pm (extreme heat). I am curious to see how it works for them this year and it would be cool to get an update on his summer lettuce production this coming year. Thanks Curtis and Erich!
I found this video helpful. I would like more info on the venturi fertilizer injection

Chlorine is not a concern. In fact, it’s way better than 99% of agricultural water.
Which wobbler do they use?
Great videos , can we get more info on the venturi fertilizer injection
Good stuff, the landscape markers are a good idea. He has a good setup now.. i can tell that there was a lot of trial and error to get to that point.
