This dude has true passion and a brilliant mind. Man, when he was talking about that rock, I was lost in a deep intellectual trance. Great work!
I was worried at one point in there that he was going to stay on that rock the whole shoot.
It was so nice to take a walk around Karl’s farm with you guys. I really enjoyed the erratic boulder scene where he talked about the moss, and how the lichten is the oldest plant on Earth.
And the best quote ever, “So we do use tools of the devil, but we gentle them” ,referring to using bio-diesel and plant based oil for hydraulic fluid. Just great stuff Cutis! Thanks!

He’s a character for sure
It was inspiring and expected more like how they make compost or potting soil.
Sometimes, with guys like Karl, you have to just go with the flow. Making compost isn’t complicated. They have huge piles of materials and those materials get mixed together. As far as the aerobic part of compost, it’s just turning huge piles over and over.

Thank you. Karl is a total gem. It was such a pleasure to spend an afternoon with him. After we wrapped up shooting we talked Tesla’s for at least a half hour. It was awesome.
